Public Safety Alert: Shruumz Recalls Mushroom Bars
In a critical safety recall, all flavors of Diamond Shruumz-brand mushroom-infused products have been pulled from shelves, following numerous reports of severe health incidents.

Consumers who have ingested these products have reported alarming symptoms, ranging from seizures and central nervous system depression—which includes symptoms such as loss of consciousness, confusion, and sleepiness—to agitation, abnormal heart rates, and severe changes in blood pressure. Distribution and Availability
Initially available both online and at various retail locations nationwide—including smoke/vape shops and stores selling hemp-derived products like CBD and delta-8 THC—these products have since been fully recalled. Despite the recall, the FDA has received reports that some retail locations may still be selling these products. Consumers are urged not to purchase or consume any Diamond Shruumz-brand products and to report any retailers still selling the recalled items to the FDA.

Investigative Findings and Current Status
The situation gained attention when Dr. Michael Moss, a toxicologist at the University of Utah Hospital, linked a series of similar health emergencies to the consumption of these products. The investigation revealed that 130 cases of illness, including two suspected fatalities, were associated with Diamond Shruumz edibles. The manufacturer has halted production and distribution, citing the detection of toxic levels of muscimol—a psychoactive compound from the Amanita muscaria mushroom, which is suspected to be a contributing factor. However, the ongoing federal investigation has also detected a synthetic version of psilocybin in the products, complicating the legal and health narrative due to its structural similarity to controlled substances.

Consumers are advised to immediately dispose of any Diamond Shruumz products or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
Parents and caregivers should ensure these products are not accessible to children and teenagers and discuss the risks with them.
